Mercy UK are excited to be hosting both the ‘Introduction to Attachment’ and 'Adult Attachment Behaviours' Training Days run by Deep Release who provide professional CPD certificate training for counsellors (5.5 hours CPD per course). They are the first of their kind to be held in the North of England. You can book onto both of these training days for a discounted price of £100 for both days!

Introduction to Attachment - July 17th 2018 - 10:00 am till 4:30 pm

Adult Attachment Behaviours - September 25th 2018 - 10:00 am till 4:30 pm

 

On July 17th the 'Introduction to Attachment' day will include:

  • A thorough understanding of the principles of Attachment
  • How animal studies influenced Bowlby’s work, including films
  • The film of ‘John’, an example of how this brought home the effects of separation
  • The Strange Situation experiments
  • How Attachment behaviour might look in our personal and professional relationships

 

On September 25th the 'Adult Attachment Behaviours' day will include:

  • A brief overview of Attachment principles 
  • 8 sessions of counselling to illustrate Attachment behaviour in the counselling room
  • Discussion on the issues arising and how to identify and work with adult Attachment issues
  • The Adult Attachment Interview, including an opportunity to answer the questions, working in 2s
  • The adult Attachment categories and why these are different from childhood ones
  • How Insecure Attachment affects relationships and self-concept
 

Both Training Days are located at: Mercy UK, Cragg Royd, Lowertown, Oxenhope, West Yorkshire, BD22 9JE

On each day please bring some lunch with you. Refreshments will be available upon arrival.
