Nancy Alcorn, Mercy Multiplied Founder
Nancy Alcorn spent the first eight years of her career working for the state of Tennessee. Her time with the government included five years with the Department of Corrections working with juvenile delinquent girls, and three years with the Department of Human Services working in Emergency Protective Services investigating child abuse cases and supervising foster care.
It was during this time of government work that Nancy realised the inadequacy of these programmes to offer real transformation in the lives of troubled individuals. Out of this experience came a driving passion for broken young girls that led to the birth of Mercy Multiplied (formerly Mercy Ministries) in 1983. Since that time, numerous residential and outreach programmes have been established in various locations across America and other nations around the world.
Arianna Walker, Chief Executive, Mercy UK
Arianna Walker has been intricately involved in the development of Mercy UK since its earliest beginnings in 1999. Her younger sister, Debbie, became the first young woman from the UK to complete the Mercy programme in one of the American Mercy homes, 5 years before Mercy UK opened its doors.
Seeing her sister's life utterly transformed became a catalyst for Arianna's continued fervour and passion to pioneer the establishment of Mercy's work in the UK. Now, over 17 years later, Arianna is the Chief Executive of Mercy UK and leads executive team, which includes her sister Debbie as the UK Executive Director.
