Established in 2005, the core values that shape Mercy UK and the services provided are a passion for God, passion for people and passion for excellence

There is nothing we enjoy more than empowering the body of Christ to walk in wholeness, strength and freedom through building effective discipleship resources, providing pastoral training and remote support services, and our residential homes for women with life controlling issues.

The vision for Mercy United Kingdom was launched in 1999 after our President and Founder, Nancy Alcorn shared about the work and vision of Mercy Ministries (now known as Mercy Multiplied), following an invitation from Life Church, Bradford.

Convinced that the UK needed homes too and passionate about reaching the broken, a small team was formed to bring Mercy to the UK; a team which included our Chief Executive, Arianna Walker, whose sister Debbie Harvie, now the Chief Operating Officer of Mercy UK, had directly experienced hope restored and her life transformed as a resident in one of the US homes in 2001. In 2005, Mercy UK became an independent charity, governed by a UK Board of Trustees. Then in 2006 we opened our home and have since seen nearly 300 incredible, courageous young women enter through our doors. 81% of all our former residents in the UK share that through our work, their hope was restored and their lives transformed. (Exit Surveys 2006-2017)

Now, over ten years on, with a commitment to always run residential homes, we have enlarged and expanded our services to the local church to see hope restored and lives transformed through Keys to Freedom, our 8 week interactive discipleship course.

We exist to serve the body of Jesus Christ and the belief that the needs of society are going to come through His Church

We want to see every Christian able to navigate their lives from a place of freedom, wholeness and understanding and as such we work in partnership with churches from every denomination, size and location across the UK and Europe providing our range of services.

We have founded and built Mercy on three core principles:

1) Our residential homes, providing a six month programme for women with life controlling issues, are completely free of charge

2) We give away at least 10% of all unrestricted donations to other Christian causes, ministries, charities or churches

3) No money is accepted from any governmental body or other source that will compromise or dilute the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on which we are founded
